Do you know a fundraiser or development person? We are still looking to fill our Annual Manager role. Refer a friend!!
Kudos to the Financial Aid team – they awarded approximately $62,500.00 of donor funded FAFSA Gap money to 116 students! These funds helped cover student expenses like rent and childcare. A quick survey of other colleges in WA showed that only 1 other school provided this kind of assistance during the FAFSA delays. Thank you to our generous donors who help keep our students in school.
I was out last week and didn’t get the chance to say “THANK YOU” to everyone who came out to the Mariners Game! What a fund night, and what a great ballgame! I can’t wait to try it again…Maybe the Kraken?

Printing Services
Two updates:
1) Due to the wired network restoration in Building 2000, Printing Services cannot complete print job requests through the Storefront portal at this time. Greg can make copies from hardcopy documents. Storefront services will be restored by Wednesday, August 28th.
2) Printing Services will be closed from Tuesday, September 3rd through Friday, September 6th and will reopen on Monday, September 9th.
Please plan accordingly and contact Greg Jensen via email or phone at (206) 546-4674 if you need assistance with your printing needs.
Facilities and Capital Projects
Bayley Construction, the contractor for the Bracken (STEAM) Building, will need to shut down and relocate the building 2200 electrical switch gear. There will be no electricity to buildings 1800, 1900, 2100, and 2300 starting at 5:30pm on Friday, 8/23 through 6:00am on Monday, 8/26. The electrical switchgear will be back online, and power will be restored to these buildings by 6am on Monday, 8/26. If any mechanical or electrical issues occur during this shutdown, Bayley has backup generators in place to supply power to these buildings on 8/26. For Staff and Faculty that work in these buildings past 5:30pm on 8/23, please work with your supervisor to plan for either remote work or a different workspace on campus. Please contact Kimberlee Clark, Director of Facilities and Capital Projects, if you have any questions.
Technology Support Services (TSS)
TSS would like to first thank everyone for your attention and participation in the Password Reset Process that was initiated last week. Through this activity, we were able to complete very important background tasks necessary to move forward with many of our ongoing projects. We understand that some users were not prompted to reset their passwords, however over the next few weeks, you will be required to reauthenticate your Microsoft Office applications. To avoid any potential issues TSS recommends that anyone who hasn’t reset their password during this reset process, please refer to the attachment in Jason Brandon’s 8/20/2024, 4:09 pm (approximate time) email to reset your password.
TSS will be moving forward with additional printing options for the campus on Thursday (8/22). All employees will receive a Printing PIN code via email from ‘shorelinecc.ricohcopiers@shoreline.edu’ that will allow access to print out your documents from the Print Queue (please see example screenshot within Jason Brandon’s 8/20/2024, 4:09 pm (approximate time) email). Printing will then be capable by emailing your documents to the designated printer email address. Direct printing from your device will also be activated for those that have been reconnected to the wired network. The printout can then be retrieved on any Ricoh printer across campus using your Printing PIN code. More information and instructions will be supplied on Thursday.
