Kids soccer camps through Shoreline College start June 22nd

Need something for your active kids to do after school ends in a couple of weeks? Choose from a morning or afternoon camp with the coaches and team from Shoreline College. 

  • Dates: 6/22 – 6/26 (Monday through Friday)
  • Times: 9:00 – 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Location: Camps will be held at Twin Ponds Park and Einstein Middle School fields in Shoreline. 
  • Ages: 7-12 years
  • Fees: $130 for morning and $200 for the afternoon camp
  • Instructor: Shoreline College Head Men’s Soccer Coach

Join the Shoreline College coach and team for a fun, educational week of soccer development. Young players will have the opportunity to learn from collegiate-level men’s and women’s coaches, and team players in a structured, supportive environment. The camp will be held off campus at soccer fields, located in Shoreline. Obed was born and raised in Côte d’Ivoire, and he honed his skills playing street soccer alongside neighborhood friends. His talent earned him a scholarship to a U.S. College, where he continued to excel both academically and athletically. Obed began his formal coaching career in 2013 as an assistant coach at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City before expanding his experience in 2017 coaching for Seattle Public Schools and West Seattle High School. In June 2023, he officially joined Shoreline Community College’s men’s soccer program, quickly transitioning from assistant to head coach.

Woodland Park Players & Shoreline College Continuing Education present Disney’s “Newsies!” on stage!

Be a part of our inaugural summer production of Newsies! We are thrilled to launch this exciting new partnership program between Shoreline College and the Woodland Park Players. We are inviting performers ages ~14–20 to audition for this high-energy, dance-driven musical inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899. 

Sign up for Auditions!. Choose your time slot on Friday, May 22 starting at 5:45 PM in room #1515. Payment not required until after auditions. There is a role for everyone!

Tuition is $1,100 for this 5-week program, encompassing approximately 150 hours of rigorous, hands-on training. Designed as an immersive experience, the program provides students with the opportunity to deepen their performance skills, engage in meaningful collaboration, and grow artistically, personally, and professionally.  Needs-based scholarships are available and we have discounted tuition for parent volunteers!

**Students in high school and College can also help behind the scenes on lighting & tech, stagecraft, props, costuming, and more!

Jazz Improv Workshop

Unlock your creativity in this fun and engaging Summer Jazz Improvisation Workshop at Shoreline College! For curious and adventurous musicians, this course helps students build confidence and fluency in improvising over classic jazz repertoire. Students will explore the foundations of jazz harmony, study chord progressions commonly found in jazz standards. Using selections from the Great American Songbook and well-known standards popularized by artists such as Miles Davis and Charlie Parker, participants will learn how harmony shapes melodic choices and how to craft expressive, stylistically authentic solos. Jazz Ensemble

Summer jazz ensemble is a big band rehearsing and performing music of the Jazz greats like Basie, Ellington, Thad jones, as well as more modern music such as Maria Schneider, Oliver Nelson and more. Throughout the summer we will be a reading band as well as rehearsing to perform at local venues. Players will get the chance to work with other professionals and make connections. Winter 2026 Non-Credit Continuing Education Classes

Shoreline College is kicking off Winter 2026 with a new lineup of non-credit Continuing Education courses designed for personal enrichment, professional development, and lifelong learning. From arts and music to health, business skills, languages, and youth programs, the winter schedule offers flexible, affordable options for all ages.

This quarter’s offerings include creative courses like Creating Personal Portraits and Introduction to Mosaic Art, wellness favorites such as Yoga and Pickleball, and career-focused classes including Project Management 1 and Entrepreneurship: Starting a New Business. Language learners can choose from Portuguese, French, Japanese, Chinese (HSK prep), and Spanish—while younger students can explore piano, filmmaking, and drawing workshops.

All courses are taught by expert instructors and subject specialists, making it easy for community members to learn new skills, try something fun, or build professional confidence without the pressure of grades or credits.
