Beginning July 24th, Shoreline Community College will be hosting a co-located DSHS representative from King North DSHS in the Workforce Education office. DSHS will be onsite every Wednesday and can assist with cash, food and childcare benefits as well as help direct students to community resources. This partnership will help Shoreline Community College focus on 3 goals: assist in student retention, have a direct link with the referring agency for a lot of our students and bring new students onto our campus. This is the first time that DSHS has co-located a staff member outside of their agency and it is a big honor to have them do it here at SCC. This is big news!
