New media technician senior in eLearning, Chris Joss

jossI am pleased to introduce Chris Joss, our new Media Technician Senior in eLearning.  He is available to assist you with integrating media (audio, video, graphics, and photographs) into your eLearning classes.  He also will provide support for those using lecture capture (Tegrity) and web conferencing (Blackboard Collaborate) as part of your eLearning classes.

Chris is a Washington state native, recently returned from a 20 year hiatus in sunny San Diego.  He lives in Arlington, overlooking the north fork of the Stilliguamish River with his two cats Google and Lucy.

Chris has a fifteen year background in event promotions and branding.  He has worked with organizations in all 50 states providing logo design, typesetting, graphic layouts, and raster to vector artwork conversions to meet their needs. In 2010, Chris began working with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and After Effects which fueled his love of media production.  Eager to expand his knowledge and proficiency, he enrolled in the VCT program at Shoreline Community College in 2012 with the goal of building a career in multimedia production. Since January, Chris has produced twenty promotional videos for Shoreline’s International Education recruiting efforts.

Chris has a passion for all aspects of digital media and production and is excited to work with the team at Shoreline.

Stop by building 1200 to meet Chris; he also can be reached at 206-546-6966 or elearning@shoreline.edu. His first day is Oct. 1.
