Friday, Oct. 18:
In Her Shoes will be taking place in the Board Room in the 1000 building. In this workshop facilitated by New Beginnings, participants will experience the barriers to leaving an abusive relationship and the difficult decisions that are encountered along the way. This is an excellent workshop for those pondering a career in healthcare, human services and education. Please RSVP to Lynette Peters. Limited to 40 participants.
The Global Eye Series will have its first meeting on the topic: National Identity and the Meaning of “Modernity.” Special guests: Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows at the UW Evans School of Public Affairs, from various countries including Algeria, Egypt, Madagascar, and Uruguay. Organized by the Global Affairs Center and free in room 1508 from 12:30-1:20.
Monday, Oct. 21:
Don’t Have Health Care Coverage? Come See If You Are Eligible. Callista Kennedy of Public Health-Seattle & King County can answer questions about your eligibility and help you apply for coverage. She will be on campus 9-4 in the PUB. Come see her!
A parliament meeting will be taking place from 3-5 p.m. in the PUB Quiet Dining Room. Feel free to stop by and encourage students to attend and participate in their student government!
