What’s happening on campus

Here is a look at what’s happening on campus the rest of this week:

Wednesday, Oct. 23

asajapanThe Asian Student Association presents Japanese Culture. Details can be found on the flyer. Be there from 3-4:30 p.m. in room 9102.

The Board of Trustees will be holding its Regular Meeting at 4 p.m. in the board room. A Study Session is scheduled to precede the Regular Meeting at 3 p.m. To access the Board’s site on the intranet, which includes the agenda, minutes and background statements (TABS), please click here.

Thursday, Oct. 24

A public forum will be held (as well as one on Friday) concerning the Presidential Search in room 2925 from 2-4 p.m. The Board of Trustees is asking for members of Shoreline as well as those in the community for thoughts and ideas on the development of the presidential profile to help search for the most qualified candidates.

From 12:30 till 1:30 the Global Affairs Center will be hosting an event about the role of the UN in resolving international conflict in room 1402. Followed up later will the second part of the No One’s World symposium with the focus being Russia. Listen to special guest Derek Norberg from 7-8:30 in the PUB quiet dining room.

Friday, Oct. 25

Talent Show auditions will be taking place from 11:30-3. Applications can be found in the SLC or on Echo. Make sure to show off your talents!

Saturday, Oct. 26

SYNTHfest is back on campus in the music building! It will be the premiere event for fans of modular analog synthesizers. Make sure to head over to the music building all day to check it out! Free event with vendors, a “petting zoo” to test out gear and workshops! More details here.
