Monday, Nov. 4:

A parliament meeting will be taking place from 3-5 p.m. in the PUB Quiet Dining Room. Feel free to stop by and encourage students to attend and participate in their student government!

UW Admission and Transfer planning will be taking place in the PUB room 9201 from 10:30 until 11:30 and is free. If you know students that are planning on transferring, this is a great resource for those thinking about UW.

Tuesday, Nov. 5:

The analyze your way to stronger writing workshop will help you to learn to explain, go deeper and support claims. This workshop will provide you with a foundation for stronger critical thinking in all your writing. Free in room 1501 from 2-2:50, please encourage students to attend!

Wednesday, Nov. 6:

Join campus colleagues and the community at the 16th Student Success Campaign Community Breakfast supporting student success.The breakfast supports students by raising funds for SCC Foundation student scholarships and emergency needs. Contact Lynn Yaw for more information. Breakfast starts at 7 and goes until 8:30.

Volleyball takes on Whatcom CC at home at 7 p.m. #GoDolphins!

Thursday, Nov. 7:

Free Writing Workshop on “How to write a convincing argument!”  How do you build an argument? Learn an approach for coming up with ideas, relating them to the thesis, and organizing them logically. At the end of the process you’ll have a thorough outline that will make the actual writing much easier. Room 1501 from 1:30-2:30.

A conversation about Brazil’s worldview with special guests: Pedro Costa (Honorary Consul General for Brazil, Seattle) and Steve Murphy (Senior Advisor, Pacific Northwest Advisors). Part of the symposium, No One’s World, organized by the Global Affairs Center. Room 9208 in the PUB starting at 7:30.
