The Women’s Center is co-sponsoring an event aiming to raise awareness on sexual exploitation and human trafficking in the PUB room 9208 at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. Hear speakers from The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County and the Edmonds/SnoKing Branch of The American Association of University Women as they address this vicious problem and how you can get involved. The Seattle area sits along a west coast track from Vancouver, BC to Mexico where teens are being trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation. Learn what these two local organizations are doing to raise awareness.
