Here is a look at what is happening on and around campus this week!
Monday, March. 3:
New exhibit in the art gallery titled “A Real Field Guide to Bird Behavior” until April 11. Mary Dryburgh’s work illustrates birds’ camouflage abilities – they hide in thickets, trees, rocks and leaves making identification as difficult as possible.
The first of three upcoming strategic action plan trainings will take place on Monday, March 3, at 1 p.m. in room 1102. The meeting will include the following: discussion of the process and identification of resources available online. We will also cover how to complete an Abbreviated Strategic Action Plan (ASAP) focusing on: writing a strategic objective, project rationale, project evaluation and completing a budget projection.
Tuesday, March 4:
Building Monitor Training in the PUB quiet dining room at 10:30 a.m. or 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 5:
The Global Affairs Center will host a discussion called “White People and Development Aid: Race, and the History of Humanitarian Assistance” with guest Michelle Kleisath (multicultural studies faculty, Shoreline) at 12:30 in the PUB quiet dining room.
Friday, March 7:
Canvas workshop on peer review. 11:30-1 p.m. in 1308.
Deep Roots Campus Garden Meeting in room 9102 at 1 p.m. We will discuss how our college can be more sustainable and utilize this great space for students and the community!
The quarterly performance class for Shoreline private voice students will perform in room 818 at 2 p.m.
Shoreline Community College Singer/Songwriter Night at The Bounty at 7 p.m.
