Monday, April 21:
Free workshop “Essay Test Strategies” that aims to help you prepare for tests will be taking place in 1501 at 10:30 a.m.
Earth Week begins at Shoreline with a discussion with Janet Charnley, who has helped guide The Evergreen School toward being recognized as a green school. Discussion in the Quiet Dining Room at 12:30 p.m.
The Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. in the board room followed by executive session.
Tuesday, April 22:
Free Writing Workshop! Just can’t get started on that paper? Feeling stuck in the middle of your essay? Learn what causes writer’s block and how to get yourself writing at 11:30 a.m. in room 1501.
Earth Week continues with a showing of the film “Chasing Ice” with a follow-up discussion at 12:30 p.m. in the quiet dining room.
Wednesday, April 23:
Student Voice Project survey opens. Please remind students to take the survey!
Gaslands will be shown in the quiet dining room for Earth Week at 12:30 with a discussion to follow.
Free Workshop! Transitions build the bridges your readers need to follow your ideas. Learn how to build powerful connections that will make your ideas flow in room 1501 at 1 p.m.
Between the lines meets at Edmonds Community College’s black box theater for a discussion with Henrietta Lacks’ family at 7 p.m.
Thursday, April 24:
The Earth Week activity will be a showing of the film “Who Killed the Electric Car” with a discussion to follow in the quiet dining room at 12:30.
Free workshop! This workshop will walk you through steps to improve your writing in manageable stages without being overwhelmed by the whole writing process in room 1501 at 12:30 p.m.
At 5:45 in the Theater, join Shoreline CC Center for Service-Learning and North Urban Human Services Alliance (NUHSA) for a special screening of “A Place at the Table.”
