Please join us on Thursday night, June 5, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the PUB. We will recognize our student-athletes with athletic and academic awards from the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges and other special team awards.

Our Guest speaker, Dr. Leon F. “Skip” Rowland of Seattle, is a renowned motivational speaker and leadership development specialist who will inspire us all!

This will be a dress-up affair. In our festive atmosphere, enjoy your dinner, beverages, and dessert while you listen to light music throughout the evening. Tickets are $10 for seniors, students, and children and $12 for general-public adults. Tickets may be purchased by check or credit card in the Athletic Office of Shoreline Community College. Local company glassbaby produces hand-blown candle holders and are votives with a motive, giving – and giving back…

Twice each year glassbaby holds a special sale at their Madrona location to sell their “perfectly imperfect” glassybaby at their “seconds sale”.

To further their mission of giving back, glassbaby selects partners to receive 10% of the proceeds from the day’s sales. The upcoming June sale will direct 10% of sale proceeds to grow the profession of nurses and help support their educational costs.

glassbaby has chosen four nursing programs to benefit from this June’s sale: Seattle Pacific University, Seattle University, Bellevue College and Shoreline Community College. The proceeds will go to help fund need-based nursing scholarships. SCC Foundation and the nursing department are grateful to glassbaby and their kindness and devotion of giving back and supporting Shoreline’s nursing students.

The sale will take place on Saturday, June 21, at the Madrona glassybaby location:

Monday, June 2:

The SBA Parliament will host its regular meeting from 3-5 p.m. in the Quiet Dining Room in the PUB! Make sure to encourage students to get involved in their student government!

Wednesday, June 4:

Come and see new cars, have free food and see race car driver Molly Helmuth with her race car at the Auto Experience at Shoreline in the courtyard.

The final between the lines community read will take place at 11:30 in room 9202.
