September 11 reflection

Dear Colleagues,

It’s been 13 years since the tragedy of September 11. Today we remember the people lost and the families still grieving that loss. The shock waves of those events still reverberate in our hearts and in the far corners of the world where we fight to subdue the threat of terrorism. Please join me today in offering thanks for those on the front lines of that battle and to the emergency responders who run toward danger rather than away from it. Please join me as well in remembering the families who grieve today.
