Weekend Update

Here is a look at some of the things happening on and around campus this weekend:

Friday, September 19:

Volleyball heads to Highline to take part in a two day tournament. #GoPhins!

Nature Walk with Matt Loper. Meet by the fountain near the PUB at 8:30 a.m. for Matt’s fabulous tour through the woods. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Working with international students from China. Meet in room 1104 at 9 a.m. to get more context on understanding Chinese students studying in the U.S.

Soccer hosts Tacoma at Twin Ponds Park. Women’s game starts at 12:30 p.m. and Men’s game starts at 2:45. #GoPhins

Panopto training session with Amy Rovner at 1 p.m. in room 1301.

Job Seekers’ Round Table featuring Tiffany McVeety at 1 p.m. in FOSS.

The Employees of Color Caucus meet & greet will meet in the PUB 9102 in the Multicultural Center Annex at 2 p.m.

Saturday, September 20:

Snap-On Masters of Metal tour is coming to campus at 10 a.m. near the Automotive Center.

Soccer hosts Highline at Twin Ponds Park. Women’s match starts at 6 p.m. and Men’s at 8:15. #GoPhins

Monday, September 22:

There will be a little bit of construction noises happening near the library as bricks will be engraved. Make sure to check out the new inscriptions!

The SCCFT breakfast will be held in the quiet dining room at 8 a.m. Cost is $5 per person, but free of charge for new faculty.

New Faculty Orientation in 1102 at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m.

Crossing Borders film will be shown in room 1104  at 10:30 a.m. The film explores intercultural communication, social and economic inequality, religious differences and more.

There will be a canvas orientation for students at 10:30 a.m. in room 1302.

Grading & Academic Integrity Policy Information Session in room 1101 at 11 a.m.

All Hazards training with Robin Blacksmith in the quiet dining room at 11:30 a.m.

Student Services all division meeting in room 2926 at 1 p.m.

Come celebrate our eight outstanding Quality Matters faculty in room 1104 at 1:30 p.m.

Visit the 50th Anniversary Museum Opening in the PUB Fishbowl at 4 p.m.
