Weekend update

Here is a look at some of the things happening on and around campus this weekend!

Friday, Oct. 3:

The Joy of Note-Taking workshop will start at 11:30 in room 1501. Come learn what to do before, during and after a lecture that will help you make notes that are meaningful in later review.

The final VPASA interview and open forum with candidate James Collins in the PUB main dining room at 2 p.m.

Volleyball takes on Everett for the first game at home in the new gym! Come on out and see all the great work that has been done at 7 p.m. and cheer on the Dolphins! #GoPhins

Saturday, Oct. 4:

Men’s and Women’s soccer travels to Whatcom.  Women’s game starts at 12 p.m. and men’s at 2:15. #GoPhins

New exhibition in the art gallery: ABC: Artist’s Books Confab. Join us 3:30 p.m. for a reception. The exhibition will run until Oct. 31.

Sunday, Oct. 5:

Come and listen to the Nanjing University traditional instruments orchestra in the theater at 4 p.m. in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Confucius Institute of the State of Washington. The group mainly gives traditional Chinese instrumental performances and focuses on music that represents the province of Jiangsu home to Nanjing University. Free parking.

Monday, Oct. 6:

The Queer Film Festival starts with the film “The New Black” in the PUB quiet dining room at 12:30 p.m.

Student Parliament will meet at 3 p.m. in the boardroom of the 1000 building. Make sure to join in on your student government!
