Announcing the Early Alert System: Academic Coaching and Engagement (ACE)

The Advising Center has created an early alert system called Academic Coaching and Engagement (ACE). ACE is designed to help students who are encountering difficulty in the pursuit of their academic goals.

Faculty and staff can make referrals to the ACE Team at www.shoreline.edu/ace. Links for the referral form can be found on the Intranet, Instructor Briefcase, ADP, and coming soon to Canvas.

Testing Center Closure July 10-17

Please note that the Testing Center will be closed July 10-17 while undergoing a computer upgrade. It is scheduled to reopen for business as usual at 8 a.m. on Mon., July 20.

Shoreline to Host 34th Annual VW Vintage Meet on Sat., July 18 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Shoreline is hosting the premiere vintage Volkswagen show in the Pacific Northwest again this year! Enjoy a giant Car Show with trophies and a Swap Meet. This event is great fun for the whole family with door prizes and food vendors! General Admission opens at 9 a.m. and tickets are only $5. Kids under 10 are free! No additional charge for parking on campus.

The event will take place in the north parking lot and on the track.

Deadline for Nominations for Administrator of the Year Award Extended to July 16

The Administrator of the Year Award recognizes an administrative staff member who demonstrates exemplary work performance, outstanding leadership abilities, cooperative spirit and initiative in maintaining a positive campus environment, and a positive impact on students. This award will be presented during Opening Week.

Any Shoreline administrator, alumni, classified employee, faculty member, foundation board member, student or trustee may nominate an eligible administrative member for consideration.

Eligibility Criteria: Permanent, acting or interim administrative employees, full- or part-time, who have served continuously at the College for three (3) or more years, are eligible to be nominated for the award.

A recipient of this award will not be eligible to receive another such award for a period of five (5) years.
