Record Your Holiday Greetings Dec. 9 & Dec. 11

As the year winds down, we would like to invite you to celebrate by sharing your holiday greetings with the campus.  These greetings will then be edited together into a fun video to share with our campus community.  We would love to see a wide range of departments and individuals representing all areas of campus.

Media producer, Rob Berg will be set up in two locations on campus next week to record individuals or groups who wish to share a short greeting for the whole campus.

  • Tuesday 12/9/25 from 10am to Noon in the Board Room of the Admin Building
  • Thursday 12/11/25 from 1:30pm-3:30pm in the Quiet Dining Room of the PUB, Room 9208

Wear festive clothes, bring your smiles and messages of hope, peace, and love with your fellow staff members.  We encourage different languages and would love to honor a variety of holidays. Let’s come together and have a little fun.

If you have questions, contact Rob at rberg@shoreline.edu. We’ll edit all the messages together to share next week before we all take a well-deserved break.  See you there!

Remote workers can submit their holiday messages from their home computer.  Record in Zoom or via your phone, then email Rob.  However, if you use your phone, we kindly ask that you record your message horizontally and not vertically. Deadline for home submission is EOD Friday 12/12.

We’ll edit all the messages together to share the following week before we all take a well-deserved break.

Hope to see you there!

Vote for Our New College Logo!

Earlier this year, we voted to change our name from Shoreline Community College to Shoreline College, and now we’re ready for the next chapter: choosing a new college logo.

We’ve created three logo designs, but we don’t want to make a final selection without hearing from you. That’s why we’re asking for input from our students, staff, alumni, and community as we shape our new visual identity.

Please take a moment to complete a short survey (it takes just a couple of minutes) and vote for the logo you feel represents Shoreline’s future.

Click here to view the three finalists and cast your vote.

Voting will remain open until December 17, 2025, and we’ll reveal the winning design early in the new year.

We want as much campus and community input as possible, so feel free to share this survey throughout your network!

Thank you for being a part of this exciting transition!

Getting Out

Event flyer featuring a woman's silhouette against a yellow background.

Shoreline Community College Theatre presents Getting Out by Marsha Norman.

The play follows “Arlene” upon her release from prison, as she attempts to reintegrate into society. Having shed her rebellious past as “Arlie”, her present struggle is juxtaposed with vivid flashbacks of her youth. The story alternates between “Arlie’s” contentious relationships with prison officials and “Arlene’s” difficult reality, which includes an indifferent mother, a predatory ex-guard, a pimp ex-boyfriend, and a sympathetic neighbor. The play grapples with themes of identity, self-acceptance, and the systemic issues that individuals continue to face every day that impact the trajectory of their lives.
