Job Seekers’ Roundtable for Fri., Feb. 3: Get placed with Terra Staffing

This Friday’s Roundtable: Get Placed w/Terra Staffing
1-2:30 p.m., Room 1402
Terra Staffing employment specialist and recruiter, Sarah Hoffman will join the conversation at Shoreline Community College Job Seekers’ Roundtable with details about Terra, what you might expect during a placement interview, and who’s hiring. Word is that office staffing companies are at the very least even with requests for workers, and numbers of workers to be hired. So it’s a strong possibility that if you need something fast in the temp or temp-to-perm sphere, Terra could be your last stop.

Please bring your resume! (If you bring it on a thumb drive, I’ll project it for tips and takeaways.)

This is a great opportunity to get placed quickly!

See you soon – & as always, Good Luck Out There!

Germany’s perspective on the United States: Challenges and Prospects, Thurs., Feb. 2

german flag.jpgJoin us Thurs., Feb. 3 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the PUB 9208 for Germany’s perspective on the United States: Challenges and Prospects.

Dr. Frank Wendler: DAAD Visiting Professor, Department of Political Science and the Jackson School of International Studies, University of Washington.

While the United States continues to be a key political partner and ally in Europe, new challenges have arisen recently, including:
• The future economic, political and military partnership between Europe and the U.S.
• The rise of populist politics and anti-immigrant rhetoric in both the U.S. and  Europe

Dr. Wendler, who recently published a book about European regional politics and political polarization, argues that recent developments, including the rise of populism in both the U.S. and in Europe, reflect long-standing challenges since the end of the Cold War rather than entirely new ones.

Additional support provided by the Center for Global Studies, Henry M. Jackson School
of International Studies, UW. For more information about Dr. Frank Wendler, visit our biographies page. For photos, visit and LIKE our Facebook page.
