The Food Trucks are Coming!

Good morning!

Today I have a little teaser to whet your appetite and give you something to look forward to later this year.

We are excited to announce that we have entered a partnership with Seattle Food Truck to offer hot meal options on campus this fall!

This is the logo for Seattle Food Truck.

Beginning Tuesday September 12, 2023, there will be food trucks on campus every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the fall quarter until 12/21/23.  We also hope to continue this into the spring as well.

Jonathan Amato has been the location manager for Seattle Food Truck for several years and knows the Shoreline College community well. He will be pulling data from past services offered to determine the most popular and highest volume of meals purchased based on type of cuisine, and will ensure there are variety of offerings throughout the 14.5 weeks of service in Fall Quarter 2023.

So, get your pants with the stretchy waistbands ready, and prepare for a delicious fall. đꙂ

Enjoy the sunshine today!

Important Avanti Food Service Update

Dear Campus Community,

One of the food options offered at Shoreline Community College is the self-service Avanti Fresh Market located on the 2nd floor of the 9000 Building. The Avanti Market uses an innovative pay-on-selection service, which includes a 24/7 video monitoring system to deter/prevent theft of goods.

Recently a substantial number of meals, drinks, and snack items have been taken without being scanned and paid for. Because of this, please be aware that Avanti Markets is reviewing all surveillance videos on a daily basis to determine the source of the theft.

The College wants to provide these food and beverage services for the enjoyment of all. Should you have any questions regarding the information above, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time.

Sincerely,

Phillip King

Vice President for Student Learning, Equity, and Success
