As we begin the new quarter, now is the perfect time to help students learn about the financial resources available to them. Many may qualify for Workforce Education funding without realizing it!

Your help with spreading this information increases the chances of eligible students finding the financial assistance they need.

Workforce Education May Be Able to Pay for Your College! 

Are you seeking money to pay for college, books, and other needs? Workforce Education may be able to help! 

What we offer:  

  • Money for tuition and fees  
  • Financial aid for books, school supplies, and transportation costs 
  • Personalized one-on-one support and coaching  

To qualify, you must be a Washington resident who is enrolled in a Professional Technical Program or Transfer Program while receiving Basic Food. Additionally, you must meet at least ONE of the following criteria: 

  • Meet low-income standards (e.g., a family of one making less than $2,608.33, etc.). Please find more information on our income guidelines here.    
  • Currently unemployed or under-employed. Explore qualifying unemployment situations.    
  • Receive TANF/Cash Assistance from DSHS – WorkFirst    

*Please note that international students are not eligible for funding based on our grant guidelines.

Spanish for Medical Careers with Shoreline Continuing Education– Starts Sept. 24

Shoreline Continuing Ed is offering Spanish 1 for Medical Careers this fall, designed for healthcare professionals and students. Build confidence communicating with Spanish-speaking patients; take patient histories, explain diagnoses, give medication instructions, and provide culturally competent care.

Class Details

  • Fee: $249
  • Dates: Sept. 24 – Dec. 11, 2025
  • Format: Online, asynchronous (learn on your schedule)
  • Instructor: Amelia Acosta
