Here are the events happening around campus for the week of Sept. 26.

Auditions for “The Game’s Afoot,” Campus Theater (1600 bldg.)
Mon., Sept. 26: 12:30-3 p.m.
“The Game’s Afoot” will be performed December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, & 11. Bryar Golden will direct.
Audition Dates:
Auditions will be held on September 26, 27, & 28 between 12:30-3 p.m. with callbacks being held Wed., Sept. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Come prepared to perform a short 1 to 3-minute monologue. Please, audition not to exceed 3 minutes.
TO SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION, please go to audition page on the theater’s web page and sign up for a five-minute slot. You will receive a confirmation email confirming your audition time.
We are also looking for students who are interested in tech work to assist in the production. Students can get musical theater performance credits, drama credits, or stage technical credits. Auditions are open to the community, but everyone involved in the production must register for some type of Shoreline Community College credit.

Free Intro to Yoga, Room 3025

This intro to yoga workshop is free to all students, staff, and faculty!

A familiar face has taken the reigns of the Shoreline Community College Softball program. Athletic Director Steve Eskridge is pleased to announce that former Assistant Coach Kelley Kaneshiro will assume the role of Head Softball Coach. “I could not be more pleased that we were able to keep Kelley on board after a successful 2016 season, ” Eskridge stated. “Kelley brings great experience as a coach and former NCAA Division 1 player, but most importantly she understands what it means to be a part of Shoreline Community College.”
After two successful seasons as the Head Coach of the Shoreline Community College Softball team, Ben Reindel has been named an Assistant Coach at NCAA Division 1 Seattle University. In Reindel’s second season he led the Phins to an NWAC Playoff berth, a top ten RPI ranking and a 3rd place finish in the North Region. The Phins placed 5 players on the North Region All-Star teams in 2016.
Baseball team is sending 5 players on to four-year universities to continue their education and athletic careers. Pitchers Sam Boone and Myles Gouveia have each signed National Letters of Intent to play NCAA Division 1 baseball at Marshall and Northern Colorado, respectively.
Former Shoreline Dolphins Center-Fielder Jacob Zanon was drafted in the 15th Round of the MLB Draft by the New York Mets. Zanon is fresh off leading Lewis and Clark State to the NAIA National Championship where he was named tournament MVP. Zanon also received recognition this past season as an NAIA All America Honorable Mention.
