College rep visits: Table in the PUB
Mon., Nov. 6: 11am – 1pm
College representatives from Eastern Washington University and The Evergreen State College will be on Shoreline’s campus to meet with interested students. Reps will discuss topics such as academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures for their college. They can answer other questions students may have too.

The University of Washington, SeEun Kim, will be here to talk about the transfer admissions requirements for International students and will include information about English Proficiency requirements, how to be competitive, and more.

Registration for winter quarter classes for current students begins the week of November 13-17. Advisors will be in the Library to talk with students about finding their specific registration date, majors, degree plans, degree audits, and course selection.

Nursing Program Information Meetings are held monthly during Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters and are conducted by the Nursing Program Director or a faculty member.  During these sessions, the Program and the entire admission process are reviewed.  Individual questions can be answered at the end of the sessions.

The library is hosting a writing space especially for those participating in National Novel Writing Month. We have outlets, wifi, comfy chairs, and participants can log into the computers to work on their novels.

Shoreline Concert Band & Everett Chorale performance: Edmonds Center for Arts

Come enjoy a mix of music to salute our Armed Forces Featured Groups that is familiar to everyone. “Salute to America” features the Everett Chorale and the Shoreline Concert Band.

Cost is $10 at the door, and proceeds benefit the Shoreline Community College Music Scholarship Fund.

Cyber-Security: the New Frontier for Policy: PUB 9208

Speaker: Justin Collins, University of Washington, Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, (Shoreline CC, 2015; JSIS, 2018)

Justin will share his personal story that took him from the U.S. military, Shoreline Community College, the UW Jackson School, and to Europe on his way to earning Associate and Bachelor degrees.  Being flexible and seizing opportunities are part of that story.
