Story with Shoreline ties featured on KOMO News

KOMO News recently did a story for their segment called “Eric’s Heroes” featuring retired English professor, Dennis Peters, and his son Steve Peters, a former Shoreline student (in the drama program) and hourly staffer. Though Dennis retired from Shoreline, he continued to teach part-time for several years after retiring and is still known to many Shoreline employees. Dennis is also the father of Lynette Peters in Workforce Education and the father-in-law of Norah Peters (Steve’s wife) in Advising and Counseling.

How is my gift used? After donation, your volunteered blood is separated into three components (plasma, platelets, and red cells). These components are then transfused to a patient who may need either a combination of these components or a single component.  This is how your donation can save up to three lives! Bloodworks donations are distributed to 70 hospitals and clinics in western Washington. Bloodworks is a nonprofit, volunteer-based blood center serving our community for over 75 years.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity!
