Two student performances to check out Fri., March 17: Small Ensemble Recital & Piano Juries Performance

Please support our talented music students by attending one or both of these free talent showcases Fri., March 17 in the Music Bldg., Rm. 818.

Small Ensemble Recital: 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Piano Juries Performance: 2:30-4 p.m.

Students are chosen by their instructors to perform at the recitals and the criteria require students to have been involved in a music ensemble throughout the quarter.

For both these performances, this our students’ time to shine in the spotlight and to have an opportunity to perform in front of their peers. This is an invaluable experience for our students to build confidence musically through focused preparation, and the opportunity to perform in front of an audience helps them develop their stage presence. Everyone is welcome to attend in support of our student performers.

U.S. relations with Mexico are strong and vital. The two countries share a 2,000-mile border, and bilateral relations between the two have a direct impact on the lives and livelihoods of millions of Americans.  Mexico is the United States’ second-largest export market (after Canada) and third-largest trading partner (after Canada and China).   But, the U.S. just finished a rather bruising Presidential election, including some heated words about immigration and trade directed to our southern neighbor.   What do Mexican citizens think about their place in the world?
