Important Upcoming Payroll Deadlines

Good morning,

As we move into the holiday season, there will be three payrolls that will result in absolute firm deadlines for absence and timesheet submission and approvals. There will be no wiggle room on the three pay periods listed below, my team MUST start the payroll process at the given times listed below.

  • 11/1-11/15 pay period: Absence Takes and Timesheets MUST be approved no later than 10am on Thursday 11/16, we have one day to process, audit and confirm payroll.
  • 12/1-12/15 pay period: Absence Takes and Timesheets MUST be approved no later than 9am on Monday 12/18, we have less than one day to process, audit and confirm payroll.
  • 12/16-12/31 pay period: Absence Takes and Timesheets MUST be approved no later than 10am on Tuesday 01/02, we have one day to process, audit and confirm payroll.

If you are going to be on leave for any of these pay periods, please set up your delegations now. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.  The person you are assigning the delegation to, must already be a supervisor for the delegation to work.

Just a note:

Each pay period my team and I receive a lot of emails from supervisors saying they cannot see their employees timesheets.  Please know that timesheet submission from the employee to the supervisor is not automatic.  There is a process that has to be run to move the timesheet from your employee to you.  This process runs every night (around 3am), and then on the second to last working day of the pay period, we run the process randomly throughout the day.  On the last day of the pay period we run this process every 15 to 30 minutes.  However, if you are still not seeing the timesheets, then please reach out to us, and we will troubleshoot the issue.

Please fill free to reach out to me or payroll@shoreline.edu if you have any questions,

Waves of Gratitude for Melanie Meyer

A Wave of Gratitude for Melanie Meyer for Inclusive Excellence and Student Engagement

We have the pleasure of sharing more fantastic news with you today. Melanie Meyer, a dedicated member of our faculty, has once again achieved course certification, this time for her HIIM 242 course.

Melanie’s HIIM 242 course successfully met all 119 Essential Standards and achieved at least one standard in each of the 23 Next Steps categories. This accomplishment is a clear demonstration of her unwavering commitment to creating an educational environment that is inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all students.

Having various courses certified, Melanie continues to set a high bar for academic excellence within our institution. Her dedication to integrating DEIA principles into her course curricula serves as an inspiration to us all. Melanie’s courses not only facilitate better learning outcomes but also contribute to fostering a sense of belonging among our diverse student body.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Melanie Meyer for this significant achievement. Her continued dedication to DEIA principles is commendable and perfectly aligns with Shoreline’s mission to provide a high-quality, inclusive education for all.

Please join us in congratulating Melanie on this outstanding accomplishment. We are incredibly proud to have educators like her who are committed to advancing DEIA within our academic community.

As a reminder, for those wishing to acknowledge the work of fellow shoreline staff members or a group at Shoreline, you need only submit a Waves of Gratitude form for individuals or a Shoreline Shoutout for groups.  Thank you from the Employee Recognition Committee – Rob and Megan.
