Auditions for “A Wrinkle in Time” fall quarter production this week!
Come audition for “A Wrinkle in Time”
Date: September 14th & 15th
Time: 5:30-8pm
Where: SCC Theater
Auditions for the fall quarter production of A Wrinkle in Time by Tracy Young are happening on 9/14 and 9/15 from 5:30-8pm.
One of literature’s most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back–braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she’s joining forces with Mrs. Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O’Keefe and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Love CAN overcome evil and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract.
Fall Parking Update
Dear Campus Community,
As we approach Fall Quarter, I wanted to take this opportunity to offer a few reminders:
- NO PERMITS REQUIRED BETWEEN QUARTERS. While Visitor Parking, Parent Child Center Parking, ADA Parking, illegal, and hazardous illegal parking is ALWAYS enforced, permits to park on campus are not required between quarters.
- PARKING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED BEGINNING SEPT 27TH.
- STAFF CAN GET THEIR PARKING PERMITS FROM SAFETY & SECURITY (RM 5102) AND STUDENTS CAN PURCHASE THEIR PERMITS FROM CASHIERING (2ND FLOOR OF BLDG. 5000, FOSS). Part-Staff must have their division or department lead email authorization for a permit to safetyandsecurity@shoreline.edu PRIOR to the staff member coming to retrieve it. Full-Time staff must have approval from Dean or Director.
- CITATIONS HAVE A 5-DAY APPEAL WINDOW. If you find a parking citation on your window and you would like to appeal it, you have five days to turn in a completed appeal form, copy of the citation, and copy of your photo ID. Appeal outcomes can range result in citation dismissal, a warning in lieu of the monetary fine, a reduced monetary fine amount, or the full monetary fine may still be required to be paid.
- ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARKING. The time of charging allowed on campus is 3 hours of electric vehicle charging on campus per day. Going over the limit of 3 hours per day may result in a parking citation; multiple citations for the same violation may result in being referred to student conduct or human resources.
For questions, please come to the Safety & Security Office (5102), call us at: (206) 546-4633 or email: safetyandsecurity@shoreline.edu
Respectfully,
Your Department of Safety & Security

As a reminder, for those wishing to acknowledge the work of fellow shoreline staff members or a group at Shoreline, you need only submit a Waves of Gratitude form for individuals or a Shoreline Shoutout for groups. Thank you from the Employee Recognition Committee – Rob, Wanda, and Megan.
Waves of Gratitude
Waves of Gratitude for Melanie Meyer of Health Occupations/PE. For Inclusive Excellence and Student Engagement. It’s not every day that we come across individuals who not only meet the requirements of their roles but transcend them, prioritizing student success. The path to making education more accessible, inclusive, and equitable is challenging, but it’s educators like you who pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future.
Having one of your online courses certified in the Online and Hybrid Quality Course Design Institute is no small feat. Meeting all the Standards focusing on Accessibility, Inclusion, and Equity speaks volumes about your dedication, foresight, and commitment. It’s not just about ticking boxes; it’s about creating an environment where every student, irrespective of their background, abilities, or circumstances, feels valued, heard, and understood.
Thank you, Melanie, for being a beacon of professionalism. Your work embodies what it truly means to focus on student success. May this wave of gratitude remind you of the ripple effect of your impactful contributions. Submitted by Brandon Fryman of eLearning.
