CAMPUS WIRELESS NETWORK ISSUES
Good afternoon,
The campus is continuing to experience outages with wireless and some network services. During the recent power outage on December 26th, the server room experienced a full power loss which has damaged some of the equipment. We are working with our support vendors to diagnose and resolve and are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
Current affected systems and services:
- Campus wireless networks
- Scan to email function on Ricoh copiers across campus
- Some service email functionality on specialty servers
- Campus (faculty, staff, student) email is not affected
We apologize for the inconvenience incurred and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thank you,
Ric

Annual Fire Systems Inspections Jan. 3-6 & 13
Dear Campus Community,
Our annual campus fire alarm and suppression system testing began this morning, January 3rd and will be running through January 6th, with one final day of testing on January 13th. During these times, you may see employees from Convergint and Columbia Fire around campus and may observe the momentary activation of strobe and horns during testing. If you have any questions, feel free to email Safety & Security at safetyandsecurity@shoreline.edu.

We need ASK ME Volunteers next week!
Hello campus community!
Please join me in welcoming our students to Winter Quarter by signing up as a volunteer for our Ask Me campaign (pop-up stations around campus)! We will have two stations on Monday, 1/9 and Tuesday 1/10. The purpose of these stations is to help welcome students back to campus, introduce ourselves, give directions, and answer general questions. If you have some time to spare, whether 30 minutes or 4 hours, please consider signing up as a volunteer! More details on the time slots and stations are available within the sign up sheet.
Please contact Camille Sasson, csasson@shoreline.edu, College Navigator/Program Specialist 2 in Access & Advising, with any questions.
From H. Woodmansee, Interim VP-Administrative Services: Campus Wi-Fi Status
Good afternoon,
Due to a power outage last week, several technology systems have been impacted.
The intranet is now up and operating. The time has been corrected in the system as well.
The student and staff Wi-Fi systems continue to be down. Staff continue to get the systems back up and it is anticipated they will be repaired by tomorrow afternoon. Updates will be provided when additional information is available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Holly Woodmansee
Interim Vice President Administrative Services
