Automotive GST Info & Application Session for Winter Quarter 2018

Get info and apply to the three-quarter I-BEST General Service Technician program to learn professional automotive maintenance and repair techniques. To apply, attend this session and bring your driver’s license & a copy of your driving record.

Free and open to the public, attending this event is the best way to apply to start the program. Attendees will learn about the program, take a tour, and hear a short presentation about funding options. If interested, students have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the program director and can apply to the program on the spot.

Want to earn a Certificate, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree and don’t know how to pay for it?

Save time walking around campus or researching online by coming to the 5 Ways of Paying for College Panel. Hear from Financial Aid, Workforce Education, and Scholarship experts from Shoreline Community College as they share tips and tricks of paying for college. There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer session.

Off campus at the Shoreline Library at 345 Northeast 175th Street, Shoreline, WA 98155.

AVID Fair on campus Thurs., Oct. 26

Shoreline will be hosting an AVID Fair (Advancement via Individual Determination) Thurs., Oct. 26 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The fair will be held in the PUB Main Dining Room with 20 colleges representing their school to students from 19 participating high schools. We anticipate hosting potential students to our campus from as far away as Anacortes and The Dalles, Oregon. Shoreline Community College current students are encouraged to talk to four-year college representatives as well.

The Quiet Dining Room will be used as a hospitality suite for college representatives, high school counselors, and teachers. Every effort will be made to provide ample seating and eating areas for our current students. This is a three-hour block of time that will provide many to see our beautiful campus and the potential to attend Shoreline Community College.

Most 4-year colleges and universities require an essay as part of the transfer application. Come to this workshop and learn:
– the role of the college application essay,
– what to write and what not to write, and
– discuss samples.
Prerequisites: English 101 must be completed or in progress.
