Board of Trustees Special Meeting – March 1, 2017

The Shoreline Community College Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 beginning at 9:40 AM.  The purpose of the March 1st Special Meeting is for the Board to meet with Third-Year Appointment Review Committee Faculty Chairs.

The Special Meeting of March 1, 2017 will take place in the Board Room (#1010M) in the Administration Building (#1000) at Shoreline Community College (16101 Greenwood Avenue North, Shoreline, Washington 98133).

Many veterans have experienced sexual trauma while in service to their country. This workshop will address topics including a familiarization with military culture, how military sexual trauma occurs in a military culture context, how military sexual trauma is defined, identifying military sexual trauma, and how to address exposed difficulties as a result of military sexual trauma. Presented by Kimberly Hardy, Project Director for the Veterans Training & Support Center.  This training counts toward the GOT YOUR 6 designation.

Join us for Global Showcase 2017 – Tues., Feb. 28


International Peer Mentor presents the annual Global Showcase on Tuesday, February 28, 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the PUB Main Dining Room.

Join us for cultural presentations by students from diverse cultures of Shoreline Community College. There will be student performances and a Fashion Show. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate and learn more about the various traditions and cultures from the representatives. Everyone is all welcome!

Cheer for the Phins at Sophomore night this Wed., March 1

Shoreline CC Women's basketball team hosts Bellevue CollegeMen’s and Women’s Basketball host Everett Community College on Wed., March 1. This is the last home game of the season and we will be celebrating the Sophomores in their final home games as Shoreline Dolphins. The Women will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., with the Men following at 7:30 p.m.

The game carries extra weight for the Men’s team as they look to win the North Region title outright. The men are currently ranked #6 in the latest Under Armour NWAC Coaches Poll and sit atop of the North Region standings with a 10-3 North Region record. Shoreline has already clinched a share of the North Region Championship, and a win on Wednesday night will give the Phins the North Region title all to themselves.

Come out and support the Phins for the last time in The Aquarium (main gym, 3000 bldg.) this Wed., March 1 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.!
