It’s the return to BIG MUSICALS at Shoreline Community College!  Come enjoy a fun-filled, hysterical, yet meaningful evening when the Shoreline Community College Theater and Music Departments present:

9 to 5: The Musical

(FOR LESS THAN THE COST OF MOST MOVIES!)

9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s. this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.

  • Putting WFE information in your syllabus for future quarters

Workforce Education Pays for Your College!

Are you seeking money to pay for college, books, and other needs? Workforce Education may be able to help you.  

What we offer:

  • Coverage for tuition and fees
  • Financial aid for books, school supplies, and transportation
  • Personalized one-on-one support and advising 

To qualify, you must be a Washington resident who is enrolled in a Professional Technical Program or, Transfer Program while receiving Basic Food. Additionally, you must meet ONE of the following criteria:

  • Meet low-income standards (e.g., a family of one making less than $2,510). Please find more information on our income guidelines here.
  • Currently unemployed or under-employed. Explore qualifying unemployment situations.
  • Receive TANF/Cash Assistance from DSHS – WorkFirst  

*Please note that international students are not eligible for funding based on our grant guidelines.

Japanese American Day of Remembrance Event

Please join us in commemorating the Japanese American Day of Remembrance with local artist and community activist Erin Shigaki. Shigaki will deliver a presentation titled, Never Again Is Now: Remembering Japanese American Incarceration and lead a mural-making workshop. Sushi and Japanese snacks will be provided!

Shigaki helps run an annual pilgrimage to Minidoka, the American WWII concentration camp where her family was incarcerated, and she is also a part of Tsuru for Solidarity, working to end detention and incarceration for all. In 2020, Shigaki’s mural, “Never Again is Now” installed at Bellevue College in honor of the Day of Remembrance was defaced.
