This one-of-a-kind event features nearly 1,000 works, each 6″ x 6″, and each just $36. Created by 150+ artists of all ages — and at all stages in their careers — works at the 2023 6x6NW inspire, delight, and might be your new favorite finds.

This year’s event will have cupcakes from Pacific Northwest Catering, the Save & Sip cash bar, sponsored by Suzan Shayler of Edward Jones Investments CFP, and loads and loads of art. All ages are welcome!

All students, faculty, and staff are invited to enjoy FREE lunch as part of Fall 2023 Welcome Week. Stop by the PUB Courtyard on Weds. 10/4 from 12-2pm and get your free ticket to redeem at either Levantine (Mediterranean) or Yummy Box (Asian Fusion). Vegetarian and halal options are available. The public is invited to celebrate the Puget Sound Antique Radio Association’s 50th anniversary swap meet and electronics experience. Entrance is free to the public. This meet will include a vintage electronics swap meet, vintage technology demonstrations, a free radio troubleshooting and evaluation booth, radio and cash raffles, prizes and food. Find out what Grandma’s old radio is worth and what it takes to get it going again. See an actual Jacobs Ladder, Tesla Coil and Van De Graff machines in action in the classroom building, free great family fun! 

The gate will open to swap meet vendors at 6am and sale will start at 9am. Good morning!

I hope that you all had a great weekend.  I am writing to remind you that Representative Shelley Kloba is visiting campus this afternoon- Monday August 7, 2023, from 12:00-2:00.

We plan to give Representative Kloba a brief tour of campus sharing stories of the wonderful work we do here, followed by an opportunity to meet in person with members of the campus community at the Quiet Dining Room in the PUB at 1:00.  Community members will have a chance to ask questions and engage in thoughtful dialogue allowing her to learn more about our needs as a College and giving us a chance to explore ways we can support her in her role. 

Representative Kloba was elected to her first term in the State House of Representatives in 2016, where she now serves as, Chair of the Commerce & Gaming Committee as well as on the Rural Development, Agriculture & Natural Resources and Capital Budget committees. For more information on interests and work, please visit her official webpage.

I hope that you are all having a great week enjoying the summer sunshine!  I am writing today with some exciting news.  We just received confirmation from 1st Legislative District Representative Shelley Kloba’s office that Representative Kloba will be visiting Shoreline Community College on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.
