Come Meet Representative Shelley Kloba this Monday at 1:00pm!

I hope that you are all having a great week enjoying the summer sunshine!  I am writing today with some exciting news.  We just received confirmation from 1st Legislative District Representative Shelley Kloba’s office that Representative Kloba will be visiting Shoreline Community College on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.

We plan to give Representative Kloba a brief tour of campus sharing stories of the wonderful work we do here, followed by an opportunity to meet in person with members of the campus community at the Quiet Dining Room in the PUB at 1:00.  Community members will have a chance to ask questions and engage in thoughtful dialogue allowing her to learn more about our needs as a College, and giving us a chance to explore ways we can support her in her role.

Representative Kloba was elected to her first term in the State House of Representatives in 2016, where she now serves as, Chair of the Commerce & Gaming Committee as well as on the Rural Development, Agriculture & Natural Resources and Capital Budget committees. For more information on interests and work, please visit her official webpage.

This is a great opportunity for Shoreline, and we hope you will be able to join us.  Please spread the word to your colleagues and students.

Looking forward to seeing you on Monday!
