Livia Sa: New Instructional Designer in eLearning Services

01_LiviaLivia Sa started Monday, November 25th as a new Instructional Designer in eLearning Services.

Livia (pictured on her birthday!) is a native of Brazil and came to the U.S. in 2001, when she began working for the Nevada System of Higher Education.  During the twelve years that she worked for NSHE, she held positions as a Research Assistant, User Support Technician, and Instructional Designer.  Her educational background includes Mathematics, Statistical Analysis, Systems Analysis, Curriculum Design, Teacher Training and Development, and Instructional Technologies; she holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction.  Her favorite hobby is to go hiking with her family and friends.

Rovner is New eLearning Faculty-In-Residence

I am pleased to announce that Amy Rovner is the new eLearning Faculty-In-Residence.  Amy is an Associate faculty member who teaches Nutrition 101 online in Canvas.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and her Masters in Public Health and Nutrition from the University of Washington.  She lives in Seattle with her husband and two sons.

Amy officially starts this fall, but will be helping out with Canvas training this week as eLearning staff attend a Canvas / Instructure conference.  Attached is a picture so you’ll recognize her!
