ID Cards Available in FOSS (5000)

Dear Campus Community,

The Enrollment Services team would like to remind all community members swing by FOSS (the 5000 building) to have your photo taken and Shoreline ID card printed if you haven’t already. Getting your ID typically takes just a few minutes (depending on how busy we are) and then you’ll be all set if you are ever asked for verification that you are a student or employee of Shoreline. For students, this also provides you identification for student discounts from some local businesses, if you want to take advantage of any of those opportunities.

To get your ID card you’ll need to come prepared with the following things:

  • Physical Photo ID (ex: Drivers License, State ID, Passport, Previous School ID Card, etc.- we cannot accept photos)
  • CtcLink Number

This fall we have the ID machine up and running from 9-11 and 2-4 Monday – Thursday. Occasionally, we have extended hours, so you are welcome swing by during another time and see if we have anybody available. For any questions please stop by the FOSS Welcome Desk or email navigate@shoreline.edu. Hope to see you there!

Kindly,

The Enrollment Services Team

ID Cards Now Available for Students, Staff, and Faculty

Dear Shoreline Community,

We are excited to announce that ID cards are back!

Students, staff, and faculty can get their ID cards on the 2nd floor of the 5000 (FOSS) Building. Anyone needing an ID card should check in at the FOSS Welcome Desk during the following hours to have their photo taken and receive their card:

  • Mon – Thurs, 9am – 11am and 2pm – 4pm

Please note: due to limited staff availability, during the week of 4/8 – 4/12 cards will only be available from 9am – 11am.

Guests who show up outside the hours listed above, but during normal business hours, will not be turned away. However, to minimize the strain on staffing, we are not publishing this on our website.

When you come, be sure to bring the following with you:

  • ctcLink ID number
  • Current class schedule (students only)
  • Photo ID

Departments anticipating large groups needing ID cards, please notify David Berner and Kyrsha Goodwin in advance.

Implementation of stickers on ID cards to indicate the current academic year is currently up for discussion beginning Fall 2024. We will update the campus community when more information is available.

If you have any questions about student ID cards, please email navigate@shoreline.edu

Sincerely,

Enrollment Services

Daily Enrollment Reporting Update

Dear Colleagues,

Since the Report Server currently is unavailable, Daily Enrollment Reporting now can be found on the Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (PIE) team’s Sharepoint site here. A link also will be available soon on the Shoreline Support Center (shoreline.support.edu) > Employees > Daily Enrollment Report.

The Daily Enrollment Report is a snapshot of current quarterly student enrollment. The top file in the folder ( 0_CURRENT_Daily Enrollment Report_Comparison_Spring 2023) is updated with the most recent numbers available; prior daily reports are archived in that folder too. Enrollment as of Friday, March 17, 2023 (the last day prior to the ransomware incident) and final Spring 2022 numbers are provided for comparison.

PIE also will now provide 10th day enrollment reports each quarter that display the College’s enrollment trend over the last five years. The Winter 2023 report is available; we will alert the campus when the Spring 2023 10th day numbers are available.

These tools will help the college community continue to track the specific strategic goal to improve targeted enrollments in 2022-2024.

Sincerely,

Enrollment Services Drop for Non-Payment Update

Hello from Enrollment Services! The College has started the Drop for Non-Payment (DNP) process for Summer Quarter 2022, and we are writing to share updates related to this process with you.

What’s Happening:

On July 6, we dropped students from Summer Quarter classes who are not part of a special population, and had the following indicated on their accounts:

  • no payment activity,
  • no pending funding (financial aid, emergency aid, etc.),
  • a balance over $100,
  • and no Canvas activity.

On July 18, we will initiate another Drop for Non-Payment (DNP) of students who are not part of a special population with the following indicated on their accounts:

  • no payment activity,
  • no pending funding (financial aid, emergency aid, etc.),
  • a balance over $100.

Messaging to students:

Prior to the first Drop for Non-Payment on July 6, we sent a targeted message to students at risk of being dropped with information on how to pay their tuition and available funding options.

On July 8, the College mistakenly sent a message to some students indicating that they had been dropped for non-payment. However, most of these students had not in fact been dropped from their classes, and we sent an email clarifying this later in the day.

If you receive questions from students about whether they were dropped, please advise them to log on to their ctcLink account to confirm their enrollment.

We will send students at risk of being dropped for non-payment on July 18 targeted emails reminding them of outstanding balances and instructions on how to pay.

Our ask of you:

Please help spread the word about Summer Quarter tuition deadlines and remind students that there are funding opportunities available such as federal COVID-19 funds to assist them with tuition, fees, and other educational costs.

Thank you for supporting this work and our students!
