Update — New Director, Admissions, Enrollment, and Outreach Please Welcome

Dear Shoreline Staff and Faculty

Shoreline would like to welcome David Berner as our new Director of Admissions, Enrollment, & Outreach. David comes to us from Cascadia College, where he was the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services and worked closely with multiple departments in the student success area as well as Student Learning. David has worked in community colleges for three (3) years and has over 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors of higher education.

David looks forward to bringing his knowledge of working through the many stages of the student journey that span from – interest to graduation – and is very excited to share in Shoreline’s mission to help serve the student community in meeting their academic goals. David has undergraduate degrees in English and Interactive Media & Design; has a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing; and an Educational Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with research in retention strategies for First Generation Students in community colleges.

David is passionate about community colleges and the benefit they provide to many students who wish to engage themselves and achieve their ambitions through collective efforts and shared governance. He likes to emphasize collaboration and communication in his work to build foundational trust and connections throughout the many departments of the institution, as well as the student body.

On a personal note, David is a bit adventurous and is not shy to travel thousands of miles on a road trip with his family to experience the natural beauty of

our diverse landscapes. He is a seasoned traveler and has many stories to share. He writes in his free time, as well as illustrates, and loves to read.

David began his employment with the college on March 16, 2023.

Please join me in welcoming David to Shoreline.

Thank you.

Timesheets

Good Morning,

I have been informed by SBCTC that there is an issue with the Time Admin process.  This process pushes the timesheets from the employee to the supervisor each night and when the payroll staff runs the process during the day.  If you are not seeing your employees timesheets, even though the say they have submitted them, please be patient and keep checking.

I will notify you, as soon as I know that the Time Admin Process has been corrected.
