Last Chance to Submit Day of Learning Workshops Ideas- COB Friday 3/22/24

Good Afternoon All, 

A big thanks to those who have already submitted their fabulous ideas for Day of Learning workshops! Please note, campus has until end of day tomorrow (Friday, March 22nd) to let us know if you have a workshop or training topic to offer. 

As a reminder, this year’s Day of Learning events will be focused around a theme of “Employee Engagement” within the context of creating community at work and expanding professional development opportunities in support of increased employee retention. 

Details in place thus far include:  

  • Check out the DAY OF LEARNING website!
    • Information will be added as it’s finalized, so check back often!
  • Remember to SAVE-THE-DATE!
  • Day of Learning 2024 is scheduled for Friday, May 3rd from 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • All administrators, classified, and full-time faculty are required to attend. 
  • Part-time faculty, student employees, and other temporary staff positions are welcome but not required. 
  • Let us know if you have a WORKSHOP or TRAINING topic to offer. 
    • Submit your workshop or training idea to pro-d@shoreline.edu no later than March 22, 2024. 
    • Please include the following info: Title, Duration, Audience, Brief Description, and Equipment/Supply Needs
    • Sessions will be offered in 50-minute increments, across three periods through the day.
      • Compensation is available for the development of trainings as needed. 
  • Plan your ATTENDANCE MODALITY. 
    • All events and activities will be offered in both online and in-person formats, with employees deciding the modality that works best for them.
  • Connect with HR for ACCOMMODATION NEEDS. 
    • Reach out to HR at hr@shoreline.edu regarding your specific accommodation needs for attendance no later than April 25, 2024.
