Welcoming New Research Analyst in PIE: Vivian Yu

We are very excited to welcome Vivian You as our new Research Analyst for PIE!

Vivian graduated from the University of Washington with a double degree in Education and Informatics. She was greatly influenced by her mom who has been teaching students with disabilities for 3 decades; Vivian wants to utilize her skills to make education more inclusive and accessible. While a research and data analyst intern at King County Adult and Juvenile Detention, she recognized her calling: to narrate impactful stories through data for the greater good. She is excited to support data-driven decision-making at Shoreline Community College to improve institutional effectiveness and support the DEI and Accessibility-centered Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan All-Campus Discussion Session April 24th 1-4

The virtual all-campus charrette will include a presentation on the data analysis and engagement that our consultant team, MIG, has been working on. Small breakout group discussions will center on one of the seven topics below:

  • Topic A: Closing the Opportunity Gap and Removing Barriers to Student Success
  • Topic B: Expanding Student Support Services and Ensuring that All Families and Students Have Access to This Information
  • Topic C: Creating a Welcoming, Safe, and Accessible Environment for All Students (People, Sense of Belonging, etc.)
  • Topic D: Strengthening Shoreline’s Internal Organizational Structure, Policies, and Processes
  • Topic E: Providing Support to Our Faculty and Staff
  • Topic F: Ensuring that Physical Facilities and IT Systems Serve the Needs of All Students
  • Topic G: Strengthening the Identity of Shoreline Community College and Raise the College’s Profile Within Our Community and Beyond
