Seattle City Light Campus Shutdown for HSAMCC Monday 7/10

Hello Campus Community,

Seattle City Light will be shutting down power to the campus on 7/10 to run power to HSAMCC.  The shutdown will occur from 10pm to 4am.  The following buildings have a generator; 1000, 4000, 2900 (north end), and 7000 (limited to hallways and open areas).  Maintenance will be onsite during this time to assist Seattle City Light.

Building 2900 Parking Lot Closed Wed. 6/28/23

Hello Campus Community,

The college received notice that the Bldg. 2900 Parking Lot will need to be closed Wednesday, 6/28, from 8am – 2pm.  The contractor will be re-paving the new motorcycle parking area located on the north side of the 2900 parking lot.  The parking lot and paved parking along the roadway will both be closed off to allow for the work to be completed quickly.  Please contact Kim Clark (kclark@shoreline.edu) in Facilities with any questions.

Construction Update: Crane on Campus 6/27/23

Hello Campus Community,

We will have a crane onsite Tuesday, 6/27, for the 3000-gym remodel project.  The crane will be placed between buildings 5000 and 3000.  It will be onsite for 3-5 hours and then removed the same day.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Construction Update- Noisy Work in and Around 2200 Building

Hello Campus Community,

Starting Tuesday, 6/27, through Tuesday, July 18th, Forma will be conducting noisy work in and around the 2200 building.  They will be performing HVAC work in the roof from June 27th to July 9th

On July 10th, a mobile crane will be onsite to lift the new HVAC unit from the South side of #2200 to the roof. After that they are installing a new gas line on the East exterior wall the week of July 18th.  The most disruptive part of this work will be the crane work.

Summer Parking Reminders

Dear Campus Community,

Just a few friendly reminders about parking permits this summer.

  • Permits are not required between quarters (June 20 – July 2). Illegal, hazardous, electric vehicle charging, and reserved (Parent Child Center, Visitor Lot, Facilities, Emergency Vehicle, etc.) parking is still enforced. 
  • Summer Quarter will start with a grace period (July 3 – 14) where vehicles will not receive citations for permit violations. Illegal, hazardous, electric vehicle charging, and reserved (Parent Child Center, Visitor Lot, Facilities, Emergency Vehicle, etc.) parking is still enforced.
  • Permits will be required, and all parking regulations will be enforced from July 17 – August 24.
