Call for Nominations for Annual Student Leadership Awards

The campus community is invited to submit nominations for this year’s Student Leadership Awards. This annual event will take place on Thursday May 23, 2024 from 5:30-8:00 pm in the PUB Main Dining Room. Help us recognize the outstanding work and leadership of Shoreline’s students and faculty/staff who are involved with clubs, programs, and other extra-curricular activities. 

Award categories are intended to spotlight the contributions of individuals, clubs, groups, and departments/programs and include Outstanding Team, Unsung Hero, Equity Advocate, Cultural Ambassador, Outstanding Club Leader, Outstanding Event, and Club of the Year. 

To submit a nomination, please go to https://bit.ly/scc_awards24 by May 1. To nominate more than one individual/group/etc. feel free to submit the form multiple times.

Healthcare Bias Workshop 2/20/24

All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend an interactive workshop about bias in the healthcare field and how it impacts those from historically underrepresented populations. Join the discussion on Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 11:30am-12:30pm in Room 2308. Refreshments will be provided. Sponsored by the Associated Student Government (ASG) and the SCC Association of Nursing Students (SCCANS).

Club & Resource Fair- Sign up for a Table

SCC students are invited to attend the Winter Club & Resource Fair on Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 2:30-4:30pm in the PUB Main Dining Room (9215). Students can learn about different student clubs as well as a variety of campus offices/programs and the resources, job opportunities, and services that they offer! ICARUS: A Storytelling Game About How Great Civilizations Fall

The library and Gender Equity Center present an opportunity like no other. Collaborate with your fellow players to detail the rise and fall of a civilization.

Reminder: Winter Clothing Drive Happening Now through 1/31/24!

Student Life, CECO, and the Benefits Hub are organizing a Winter Clothing Drive to benefit students that are housing and food insecure at Shoreline Community College. Please help spread the word and donate if you are able, all items aside from socks and underwear can be gently used. We have large donation bins marked with colorful paper and clothing drive signage available across campus now through Friday January 31st.

Items Needed:

  • New socks and underwear
  • Knit hats, earmuffs, and scarves
  • Gloves and mittens
  • Warm coats, sweaters, and pants

  • Career Center (Rm 9203, second floor of the PUB)
  • President’s Office (1000 building)
  • Library Front Desk (4000 building)
  • Gym Main Office (3000 building)
  • FOSS Main Floor Lobby (5000 building, near doors on second floor)
  • CECO/Workforce Lobby (5000 building, near doors on first floor)
