Here is a look at what is happening on campus this week!

Tuesday, Nov. 12:

Make sure to let students know they can learn how to incorporate concrete details and vivid language into their descriptions-and to focus these on creating a specific impression in a workshop with the writing and learning studio from 2-2:50 in room 1501.

Wednesday, Nov. 13:

UW admission and transfer planning session with Joyce Fagel with be taking place from 1-2 in the PUB room 9201.

workshop on nailing that college admissions essay will be taking place from 3-4:30 in 1501. Attendees will learn how to understand the appropriate content and tone for personal statements and have the opportunity to do some writing during this session. (This is NOT a workshop for students who only want feedback on their completed statements.) Prerequisite: Completed or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 101.

Thursday, Nov. 14:

Later that evening, GAC is hosting an event on Iran’s worldview in the PUB room 9208 with special Guests:  Nader Nazemi (Professor, Cascadia College) and David Woodward (President, Associates in Cultural Exchange) as part of the symposium, No One’s World.

Friday, Nov. 15:

TALENT SHOW!!! (We’re pretty excited!) Check out what our students have to showcase from 12:30-3 at the main dining room in the PUB! #SCCsgottalent
