In the event of an emergency, Building Monitors are full-time employees who volunteer to assist the an Incident Commander and Campus Security in the implementation of Shoreline’s Emergency Response Plan. The Building Monitor Training and Duties describe the qualifications and duties of the position.
Two Introductory Meetings will be held, 30 minutes in length, on Tuesday, Feb 25, at 11:30 a.m. in the Quiet Dining Room and at 5 p.m. in room 2925. Employees can attend whichever meeting is compatible with their work schedule and supervisor’s knowledge. Each building or floor of a building is designated for one primary monitor and one back-up monitor. If there are more than two participants from a building, we may be able to utilize the additional volunteers for other buildings that do not have a monitor.
The first full trainings for Monitors will be March 4, from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. or 4:30 until 6:00 p.m., both in Room 9208. Attendance at one of the two trainings is required to participate. Quarterly training will be on-going.
