Free writing workshop on writing under pressure at 10:30 a.m. in room 1501. Please remind students about this great resource for students to learn how to prepare for timed writing tests and follow a six-step plan for writing essay test answers.
The Queer Film Festival continues with a screening of God Loves Uganda: Have you heard the good news? at 12:30 p.m. in the PUB quiet dining room.
Tuesday, Oct. 14:
All-Hazards training in room 9208 at 12 p.m. The training is mandatory for all faculty and staff and is offered at various dates and times (click the link to see more dates).

The Global Affairs Center will be hosting a global eyes series event on Washington State-Japan Relations: Looking Toward a Mutually Prosperous Future in the PUB Quiet Dining Room at 12:30 p.m. followed by a meeting with Japan consulate staff in room 9202.

The Global Affairs Center will be hosting an event that is part of the Humanities and Social Change Symposium at 7 p.m. The event, “The Cultural Roots of Urban-Acoustic-Folk-Soul Music” will have music and discussion with Reggie Garrett and the Snake-Oil Peddlers.
Friday, Oct. 17:
What does it mean to have good hair? We all have ideas about this! Come watch Chris Rock’s film “Good Hair” at 12:45 p.m. in the PUB room 9102 and join in on the discussion! Sponsored by interested students and the Women’s Center.
