James R. Hammond, Executive Director of the Puget Sound Automobile Dealers Association (PSADA), has announced his retirement effective Dec. 31, 2014.
“Jim has been a great supporter of our automotive program for more than four decades,” said Shoreline Community College President Cheryl Roberts in a notice to the college’s Board of Trustees. “We wish him well.”
The PSADA offices are co-located with the Professional Automotive Training Center at the college.

I just found out Jim Hammond retired. I had a wonderful partnership with him over the past two years and he was instrumental in supporting students in careers. I would love to reach out to him to say Congratulations!! =) Cindi Blansfield
Thank you for your years of service to both the college and the auto industry, Jim! My father also worked in the auto industry for many years (used car dealerships; gas stations–(Signal gas!), and auto repair and rebuild.) Most of my encounters with auto service industry people have been positive, and I defniitely believe the term ‘service’ and good customer service is the norm rather than the rarity in the suto industry. Your generosity and welcoming spirit, which carries over to your wonderful staff (Linda; Susan; Michele;(and Joyce from the past; and Ron of AYES from the past!) have always made it a pleasure for my mail deliveries, et al. You will be missed!
