PIO is now Communications & Marketing

From posters to press releases, billboards to banners, speeches to social media, the work of the Public Information Office (PIO) includes much, much more than providing information to the public. That’s why – effective immediately – PIO is changing its name to Communications & Marketing.

“This new name describes much better the work this group does,” said President Cheryl Roberts. “They’re responsible for every bit of promotion for the college, from advertising, to marketing analysis, to media buying, to speech writing and everything in between. It makes sense to have a name that better encompasses all that they do.”

In the coming months, you’ll see additional changes to the office as Shoreline launches a search for a new Director of Communications & Marketing.

If you have any questions about the services that the Communications & Marketing department provides, please email Mary Brueggeman at mbrueggeman@shoreline.edu. Mary will serve as Public Information Officer and supervisor of the department until the permanent position is filled.
