Annual Title IX Training Requirement

Maintaining a safe, supportive learning and working environment is one of the most important things we can do for our students and each other. To that end, Shoreline requires that all employees and students complete annual training on Title IX, the Federal law that prohibits gender discrimination and sexual harassment in learning organizations receiving Federal funding.
If you last completed Title IX training prior to July 1, 2021, please plan to refresh your training by the end of Fall Quarter. You can fulfill the training requirement in one of three ways: complete a one-hour online course, attend a live training session, or schedule a one-on-one meeting with the Title IX Coordinator.

All Employees received an email last week with a link to access online Title IX training. The sender will be Shoreline Community College and the subject line will read, in part, “Shoreline Community College has assigned you training.” If you choose to complete your training online, just follow the instructions in the email to access the course. If you prefer to attend a live session or schedule a one-on-one meeting with the Title IX Coordinator, you can simply delete the email. Your completion of the training requirement will be noted.

For newer employees, there is a live (virtual) Introduction to Title IX training was scheduled on Wednesday, October 13th from 2:00-3:30 pm. For employees who have previously completed Title IX training, there is a live (virtual) Title IX Refresher session scheduled on October 21st from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Email to sign up for either session.

More information about these sessions and other Title IX-related training opportunities is available on the Title IX intranet page.
