College Updates, Week of October 18-22, 2021

Dear Shoreline Staff,

Return to Campus/COVID-19 Communications 

Beginning January 3rd, 2022, all services will be required to operate on campus for Winter. The expected hours of service will be Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 8 am-noon. Admin exempt will continue to be required to be on campus three days per week and classified staff will come back three days per week. Due consideration will be given to the potential impact of this transition on employees and managers have the responsibility to assign staff schedules.   

·         Reminder: beginning October 25, 2021, people ages 12 and older will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result to enter certain indoor and outdoor events and establishments in King County, including some events open to the public on campus. See what to expect.  

·         Any new employee, new on-site contractor, or new on-site volunteers will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or documentation of eligibility for a religious or medical exemption as of October 18, 2021, forward. 

·         PA systems available to those who may need voice amplification while teaching or presenting on campus while wearing a mask. 

·         Closed building signage template add your specific content and post to your closed building. 

Winter Schedule 

The Winter 2022 Class Schedule will be printed and distributed on November 2, 2021. 

ctcLinkUpdate 

User Acceptance Training (UAT) needs to be completed by 10/27/21. A detailed schedule will be shared with teams. Please ensure that your team has coverage planned for training and testing periods.

Fall 2021 Starfish Update 

What’s coming next: Winter 2022 will bring many exciting developments: the student portal will open on January 3rd, at which time students will book appointments with advisors directly in Starfish. Throughout winter, we’ll focus on supporting student usage of Starfish and making technical updates as we transition from HP3000 to ctcLink.  Throughout the year, you can expect to hear more about Starfish via quarterly DAAG announcements and at presentations in divisional meetings.

Check the Starfish project webpage for more information about the long-term timeline, project teams, and other details.  You can email starfish@shoreline.edu with any questions.  Finally, you can meet with the implementation project manager, Moriah Shistle, during weekly open office hours throughout fall term.  Check the Shoreline employee calendar for details.
