With the encouragement and support of VP Phillip King, Guided Pathways is funding two large teams participating in valuable equity-centered professional learning.
A team of 16 people (mix of Classified, Faculty, and Admin) will be participating in the Gardner Institute’s “Equity in Retention Academy.” This is a 5-week virtual learning experience that prepares teams to “conduct an evidence-based, equity-focused student retention planning process.” The work begins May 31 and runs through to the end of June.
A team of 10 people (mix of Classified and Admin) will be attending the National Conference on Race & Ethnicity (NCORE) in Higher Education. The event is in-person during the week of May 31.
I am thrilled that so many were keen to participate, and glad that GP is able to support these learning experiences. If you would like more information, please email Brigid Nulty and Savena Garrett.
