Dear Campus Community,
Below are the IT areas that will be affected during the electrical shutdown on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, beginning at 7am and ending by 5pm.
- Server room-based systems will be connected to generators on the 1000 and 4000 buildings. Hosted systems such as the college websites, Canvas, Outlook, and ctcLink will be unaffected
- Campus computer labs will be unavailable to students, including remote access to lab systems, such as Splashtop.
- Employees will not have Remote Desktop access to their desktops but can use VPN to access file shares or the Report Server if needed
- Wi-Fi will not be available on campus
- Computers are configured to restart automatically when power is restored, though sometimes one or two may need to be manually restarted
Building 7000 will be unaffected.
