Hi Classified Staff Colleagues!
Shoreline Community College is coordinating a new overtime opportunity for all interested classified staff employees on Saturday, September 24, 2022! Classified staff who choose to participate in this voluntary opportunity will be greatly supporting the Facilities department as they put the final touches on our beautiful campus.
Classified staff are invited to campus any time between 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, to help with a variety of basic grounds and nursery activities to get ready for our students and the fall quarter. Participating classified staff can choose to be paid overtime at their current hourly rate or earn comp time towards the 2022 Winter closure if desired. Overtime compensation will be paid from the Facilities budget.
Please note this is not a mandatory activity and is intended only to supplement the work Facilities staff have already done, and will continue to do, to maintain our campus.
Directions:
- Check-in at the PUB (Bdlg 9000) upon arrival to be assigned a task/workgroup.
- Check-out at the PUB (Bdlg 9000) so that total hours worked can be documented.
- Follow directions provided on-site regarding the entry of these overtime hours in ctcLink.
Other Info:
- Participants will be provided with lunch.
- Participants will be provided with gloves, and may also choose to bring equipment such as rakes, weeding tools, etc.
- Power tools of any kind should not be brought to campus.
- Facilities staff will be on hand to provide direction/guide the workgroups.
- Bins for disposing of yard waste will be provided.
