Dear Campus Community,
As a reminder, the College currently provides a total of four (4) electric vehicle charging stations located in the Visitor’s Lot (2 spots) and in the West Parking Lot (2 spots) for use by all of campus. These charging stations are clearly striped and signed.
- These spaces are designated as charging stations for electric vehicles only. Non-electric vehicles will not be allowed to park there and violators will be cited.
- The stations are currently open to Shoreline faculty, staff, and students at no cost for a maximum of 2 hrs per day.
- The stations are not parking spaces and the responsibility for knowing when an electric vehicle should be moved remains with the vehicle driver.
- Parking enforcement, and appropriate use of the stations, are monitored by Safety and Security. Citations will be issued if the stations are improperly used.
- The stations are operational Monday – Friday, from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Restricting services to these days and times ensures that the College is not gifting state resources to the general public.
- To activate an account for electric vehicle charging, please contact safetyandsecurity@shoreline.edu.
While the College continues to assess the campus needs for charging stations for updates where needed, your help by complying with the rules above is much appreciated.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Office of Safety & Security
