Do you want to understand K-pop lyrics, watch K-dramas without subtitles, or plan an unforgettable trip to Korea? Or are you simply eager to explore Korean language and culture? Join me on this exciting journey!

In Korean 121, you will build a solid foundation in the Korean language and culture through practical, interactive lessons. Designed for complete beginners, this course guides you through reading and writing Hangeul, introducing yourself, describing daily routines, and navigating directions. You’ll also master Korean numbers to confidently order food and handle payments at cafes and restaurants! Along with essential daily expressions for real-life conversations, you will gain fascinating insights into modern Korean culture.

This course can be taken for non-credit or for college credits.  

Seonah Min is a Korean language instructor at Shoreline College. Born and raised in Korea, she brings an authentic, natural command of standard Korean and deep cultural insight to her teaching. She is passionate about creating engaging, supportive learning experiences that help students build practical communication skills and discover the richness of Korean culture. Outside the classroom, she enjoys practicing Pilates, exploring the beautiful PNW outdoors, and taking walks with her dog, whom she brought with her from Korea.
